A workshop on declining migratory caribou has been held in Montreal from March 24 to 26, 2026.

Declining Caribou: Shared Concerns, Shared Solutions
This workshop brings together Cree, Naskapi, Inuit leaders and Quebec officials for the first time since 2012 to share scientific and Indigenous knowledge, as well as conservation initiatives already in place. The goal is to identify common concerns and collectively reflect on additional solutions in a spirit of collaboration.
